Reposted from Staff News:

The University environment is one where there is a diverse range of people from different nationalities and backgrounds and as such, it is understandable that some staff could feel wary of cultural differences and the possibility of causing offence.

The ‘Cross Cultural Communications’ training session is a bite size session that aims to raise awareness of cultural differences in attitudes and behaviours which you may come across in day to day social interactions. The session will offer an insight into cultural differences and social norms, including British culture and suggest reading material to further increase knowledge. The course is available to all staff with the next available session taking place in the Minerva Building on the Brayford Pool campus on Wednesday 28th February.
